According to a report by Sunyani TV, a 16-year-old girl identified as Mariam Batuley, a JHS Three(3) student has committed suicide by hanging, today, the 18th of September 2020 at Abesewa, a Community at Dunkwa On Offin in Upper Denkyira East.
According to a relative, she left the house last night around 10 pm to attend to nature’s call which is a few meters from the house of which she didn’t return.
It’s so unusual for Mariam not to sleep at home so a search hunt was launched for her the following morning only to find her hanging dead on a tree.
Many of the people who came to the scene suspect she was killed but didn’t hang herself.
According to the reports, Dunkwa Police Division has come for the body for further investigations.
