Reports spreading wild on airwaves across the nation has it that a head on collision of two long buses have left several passengers dead and a lot more in critical condition near Kintampo in the Bono East Region.
In the news, at least 50 people are dead in the accident, witnesses testified that some of the victims are burnt beyond recognition due to one of the buses burning beyond recognition.
Survivors have been rescued and receiving a medical treatment in hospitals within the Techiman and Kintampo.
The accident is said to have happened in the early hours of Friday between 1:30am and 2:10am at Ampomakrom, near Jema on the Kintampo-Techiman road, involved a VVIP bus with registration GT 3915-17 and a Grandbird bus registered GT 5694-18.
Cause of the accident is unknown however.
Police officers and Fire Service personnels are on the ground to ensure that calm is restored.
