Celebrities Buzz has compiled a list of all trends set by the CEO of SarkCess Music as shared below:

1. Sarkodie’s Beef with Shatta Wale in January

Although they’ve made peace now, Sarkodie was in the news due to his feud with dancehall musician, Shatta Wale which started in 2018 due to which they both released a couple of diss songs to jab one another.

2. Behind the hits

Sarkodie launched an initiative dubbed Behind The Hits. He did this during the Coronavirus lockdown where the producers of various popular songs battled out via Instagram live for fans to judge who got the best hit songs. Aside the competition side of it, it was a platform for the producers to also get their faces out there.

3. Asem & Ball J beef

Sarkodie who has been the peaceful type got himself in a beef with fellow rappers Asem and Ball J. The beef was one-sided because these two rappers kept jabbing Sark in social media posts or through songs. Yet, he never replied. Most of his replies were indirect.

4. Bring Back azonto

Micheal Owusu Addo as he’s known in real life also spearheaded a Bring Back Azonto campaign where he rallied for Azonto music genre to be resurrected. This resulted in a lot of headlines. People said Azonto was dead and buried for good while Sarkodie on the other hand felt it could be resurrected. At the end, the project was left abandoned. May be we should agree Azonto is dead.

5. The “Bigger than Jay z” & Ceo Flow feature with E-40

One of the things that got Shatta Wale pissed with Sarkodie was the fact that one of his producers came out to say that the rapper has featured a musician that was bigger than Jay Z. Shatta Wale felt that Sarkodie was envious of his feature with Beyonce so that’s why he was pushing that propaganda.

We all expected that song with someone ‘bigger than Jay Z’ to get released but it never did. Sarkodie however dropped a song dubbed CEO Flow featuring American rapper E-40. He’s one of the best musicians from America but we don’t think he’s bigger than Jay Z.

6. Blacklove virtual concert (Stonebwoy wahala & CEEK site down)

One of the things that got Sarkodie trending was his Blacklove Virtual Concert. It was one of the most talked about things on social media. The concert sparked a beef between his manager Angeltown and Stonebwoy. No one till now knows what caused the ‘fight’ that caused the dancehall musician to punch the eye of Angel town.

But from rumours, Stonebwoy got angry because he wasn’t allowed to perform at the show he came to perform at. He apparently dropped from Togo where he went to shoot a music video and went straight to Sarkodie’s concert. So not allowing him to perform caused a whole lot of issue—Sarkodie had to even report the issue to the Police.

Due to the ban on social gatherings, the concert was held virtually by CEEK. But due to the massive traffic of people who wanted to watch the show, CEEK’s website broke down.

To the extent that they had to back play the concert on Facebook and YouTube.

7. Happy Day Wahala

The father of two was in the news again for his controversial Happy Day song. The use of ‘Nana Toaso’ in the song got people saying it was an endorsement song for the New Patriotic Party led by president Nana Addo.

“When there was dumsor and inflation, I talked about it. But if today the problem of Dumsor has been solved and my children go to school for free, then I have nothing to say but to ask Nana to continue ruling”, he rapped.

8. Quick One Fresstyle Wahala

Last but not least is Sarkodie’s recent Quick One freestyle. He released a freestyle in which he bragged excessively.

Sarkodie talked about the fact that if he were to be in California, he would have been on the same level as Drake.

He also said he charges GHS75,000 – GHS80,000 when he does verse for fellow musicians. But that money isn’t anything for him so he gives it to his wife Tracy Sarkcess to buy bags.

All these go people talking about him on social media that he brags too much.
