One would expect that he’ll mention the name of the regular ones like Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and Sarkodie but he swerved them all.
Only to mention Takoradi-based musician, Kofi Kinaata.
Abedi revealed this in a recent interview on GTV Sports+ Live.
He went ahead to reveal the reason why he fell in love with the ‘Things Fall Apart” singer. According to him, he went to an event where Kofi Kinaata came to perform live in front of them and during his performance, his uniqueness made him tell himself that he’ll be his fav musician.
“Do you have a favourite Ghanaian music artist? and who’s that’, the Host asked.
In reply, Abedi Pele said: “The guy is from Takoradi…Kofi Kinaata. That’s my guy… you know I own part of Izwe Loans and our CEO had a party in his house and he invited me and Kofi Kinaata came and he performed live…in front of me and it was amazing. That was the day I just said to myself that that was the guy”
Excited Kofi Kinaata posted the video on his Instagram page and wrote; “It is an honour to be Abedi Ayew Pele’s favourite Ghanaian artiste #TheMaestro ?????”.
