In an effort to ensure that children of school going age benefit immensely from the latest knowledge the internet has to offer our world, Hon. Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin has donated 40 HP laptops to newly posted teachers in his constituency.
He has so far donated more than 1000 laptops to teachers in the Effutu Constituency, Central Region.
Hon. Afenyo Markin gave laptops to teachers in SHS, JHS and Primary schools — including both private and government schools.
His aim is to boost the efficiency of teachers in the line of delivery of their duties.
Afenyo Markin in an interview with the media also revealed that he’ll soon build Libraries and stock them with modern books to develop the habit of reading in pupils.
He also added that places of conveniences would be built for more schools as teachers have been complaining about the lack of it in their various schools.
“We’re also going to build an ICT lab and reactivate the best teachers award scheme”, he said.
All these are aimed at improving the education standard in his constituency.
