The biggest retail company, Amazon is setting up a lab that will enable it to test employees for corona virus.
This is the latest step the online retailer is taking to protect it’s warehouse workers and all it’s delivery drivers.
According to amazon, even though the current mearsure will not accomplish much during this pandemic, it is assigning a team of scientists, software engineers and procurement specialists to build a lab that will let the company start testing small numbers of thier front line employees soon.
Tests are scarce in most parts of the world.
This is causing the rapid spread of the virus around the world.
“We’ve begun the work of building incremental testing capacity,” Amazon said Thursday in a blog post.
“A team of Amazonians with a variety of skills – from research scientists and program managers to procurement specialists and software engineers – have moved from their normal day jobs onto a dedicated team to work on this initiative.”
Amazon stated that, it is unsure how many tests can be will be produced by the effort they are putting in place.
Results from the lab will be publicite for everybody to be aware.
The owner of Amazon Jeff Bezos is more concer about the health of his employees and is puting measures in place to protect them form the pandemic.
