Johnny Depp has sued his ex-wife Amber Heard for $50 million over an essay she wrote for The Washington Post in 2018 that appeared to accuse him of domestic abuse, which he denies. Fans have been following the trial attentively, but the emphasis has now switched to a new Hollywood A-lister.
In response to Depp’s charges, Amber has filed a $100 million counterclaim, and the trial is already in its second week at the Fairfax County Circuit Court.
Amber Heard and James Franco relationship: How did they meet?
In the 2015 film The Adderall Diaries, Heard and Franco co-starred. Depp added that he became suspicious of the pair’s behaviour during a scene and accused Heard of having an affair.
Depp’s suspicions sparked friction between the two when he informed the court about an argument he had with Heard in 2014. The disagreement occurred on a trip from Boston to Los Angeles, and Heard’s lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft, also invited Depp’s pal Keenan Wyatt to comment on the incident.
According to Sky News, Depp’s lawyers claimed in a prior London lawsuit that Heard had an affair with both Elon Musk and Franco.
