The American saxophonist was born on October 11, 1950, and attended East High School in Denver, Colorado. Andrew had the chance to play in a school band in a United States school in France, where his father was on a military deployment.
He then went ahead to join the band Earth, Wind & Fire as a saxophonist and rose to become a regular member.
The celebrated Woolfolk was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Earth, Wind & Fire in 1999 and the Colorado Music Hall of Fame in 2017.
He also had several collaborations with others, such as Valerie Carter, Deniece Williams, and others.
