Former American football cornerback Aqib Talib was born on February 13, 1986. He was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft after playing college football for the University of Kansas, where he was named a unanimous All-American. Talib also played for the Los Angeles Rams, the New England Patriots, and the Denver Broncos, with whom he won the Super Bowl 50. He made his NFL on Fox debut as a commentator in 2020. Talib competed for the Rams’ athletic teams in football, basketball, and track while attending Berkner High School in Richardson, Texas.

Parents Theodore Henry and Okolo Talib brought up Aqib Talib in a Muslim household in Cleveland, Ohio. Talib, the youngest of four children, has an older brother named Yaqub, two older sisters named Saran and Kai, as well as two older sisters. Being the youngest of four children, he was given the name Aqib, which in Arabic means “the last one.”
