Was Samini right to endorse President Nana Addo as a Rastaman?

We all know the notion created by the masses about Rastafarians is that they mostly stay far from politics.

Instead, they instead lend their voices in fighting against corrupt leaders who assume public office and try to oppress the poor by stealing their monies.

Samini’s public endorsement of President Nana Addo on the song, Kpoyaka (Special Endorsement) has raised serious concerns on the internet about whether it is right for him to venture into politics.

However, before Rastafarians decided to stay far from politics and fight against it, Howell, who is considered a Rastafari founder, engaged in political activities in the year 1932–1940 that indicated an investment in psychological repatriation as opposed to physical repatriation to facilitate a Rastafari black nationalist agenda for Jamaica.
