She went ahead to drop a tip for old women who finds themselves in such a situation.
Aisha Yesufu encouraged them to take a bold step and make the proposals themselves and if possible, they can even buy a car for the man to seal the proposal.
She tweeted;
When I see women my age who say they are waiting for men to come ask for their hands in marriage I shake my head. Go & find yourself some young man and ask for his hands in marriage. Buy his groom things and even throw in a cute car! Ask him to memorise a surah as your dowry!

How I wish this opportunity come to me. I buy this idea of hers though it will not be easy for the women but I think she has a point there, why is it accepted for men to marry younger or older women by going straight to them to propose but ladies or women can’t, she might be interested in you but because of public comments she will keep it to herself while it’s killing her slowly meanwhile the the young guys to need rich ladies to marry them but they are afraid to approach them because they are of higher class hmm may almighty Allah grant us our deam amen
