American actor and martial artist, Michael Jai White has revealed that being a Chief in Ghana is much more important than to be a Knight.
Michael Jai White was enstooled as “Odupong” of Akwamu Traditional Area by HRM the Akwamuhene Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III – Akwamumanhene at a colorful Ceremony held at the Bogyawe Palace, Akwamufie some few days ago.
He took to Instagram to send a message of love to Akwamu Traditional Area and the whole Ghanaians by penning down a long note of which part reads:
“For me to be appointed by the King Odeneho Kwafo of Akwamu is far more relevant than if I were knighted by Queen Elizabeth who’s royal bloodline doesn’t go back as far. “
His message shared on his social media sparked a lot of praise and positive comments for recognizing his accent.
The Hollywood actor revealed some few days ago that a DNA test shows my wife and I are Ghanaians.
Meaning of a Knight: ‘A man granted an honorary title of knighthood by a monarch, bishop or other political or religious leader for service to the monarch or a Christian church, especially in a military capacity. Historically, in Europe, knighthood was conferred upon mounted warriors.‘
