There was shock on Tuesday on the information that BlackByrd singer Tamsyn Maker had died. Maker, together with Tarryn Lamb and Axene Prinsloo, had been the founding members of the South Africa pop group in 2012. The band fashioned after Lamb posted an advert on Gumtree searching for different musicians to start out an all-girl group. Inside a few months, they had been signed by EMI and launched their debut album, Robust.
Maker and Lamb are cousins, however weren’t conscious they had been associated and solely met after Lamb invited her to audition to be a part of ‘La Vuvuzela’ – the earlier title of the band.
