Early Life and Education
He had his basic school level education at Bagabaga and Sakasaka in Tamale as well as the Methodist Demonstration School in Ho.
In 1980 he entered Tema Secondary School for his O’Level and Abuakwa State College for A Level. He then moved to University of Science and Technology where he obtained a Bsc. degree.
He obtained a Master Of Arts in Ports and shipping Administration from the Regional Maritime University, Nungua Accra/ University of Ghana Business School 2013.
Career
He worked at Jospong Consultium as a sales executive from 2004 to 2006. He was the marketing manager of Zoomlion Ghana Limited and the manager director of J.A Plant Pool Limited between 2007 to 2012.
He has been a lecturer at the Regional Maritime University since 2005 and lectured at Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) since 2010. He has been running Carlos King Freight Services since 1992.
He was the first lecturer in freight forwarding at the Regional Maritime University from 2002 where he still lectures the graduate level till date. He also lectures at GIMPA and the FIATA diploma in freight forwarding at the GIFF School.
His Carloking Freight Services Company is currently headquartered in Tema with branches in Takoradi port and Accra airport employing over 100 people both casual and permanent.
The company handles mainly project cargo and was awarded the Business Initiative Directives (BID) gold category for excellence in freight forwarding in Paris, France in 2012.
Controversies
In 2020, he went to a registration center whilst he was Covid-19 positive. This was at a time when he should have been in self isolation.
For this action, pressure group OccupyGhana demanded for him to be expelled. He was given an ultimatum by the president to tender his resignation. On the 3rd of July 2020 he resigned from office.
He is the First Ghanaian Member of Parliament to snatch ballot sheets in front of National Television at the swearing-in of the 8th Parliament in the year 2021.
He ran to the table during counting and snatched the ballots off Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye hands and attempted to bolt with it.
He was quickly chased and accosted at the entrance of the parliamentary chamber and physically challenged by some NDC MPs.
The Chief Whip on the NDC side and MP for Asawase, Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak also went after him and secured the ballots papers which were returned to the table.
