Carlos Sainz Vazquez de Castro, known in the limelight as Carlos Sainz Jr, is a Formula One racing driver presently driving for Scuderia Ferrari.
He is a Spanish born on September 1, 1994, in Madrid, Spain. Sainz Jr’s father, Carlos Sainz Sr was also a rally driver who participated in the World Rally Championships.
Sainz Jr began his career at a tender age when he started learning race crafts at an indoor karting track his father owned.
He began his career with karting through to Formula Three and now in Formula One. Growing up, he got his inspiration from Fernando Alonso, also from Spain.
Sainz Jr won the Asia-Pacific KF3 title and also finished runner-up in the Spanish Championship in 2008. He also won the Junior Monaco Kart Cup and was runner-up in the European KF3 Championship in 2009.
