Carolyn Bryant Donham, a United States citizen and business owner, was born in 1934. She was born in Indianola, Mississippi.

She is the white woman who is infamous for her role in Emmett Till’s death and is known as Emmett Till’s killer.

Till, who was 14 at the time, was kidnapped, tortured, and murdered by Carolyn’s ex-husband “Roy Bryant” and J. W. Milam, Roy’s half-brother, in 1955.

These events occurred in Mississippi. Furthermore, the tragedy fueled the expansion of protests and had an impact on the African-American Civil Rights Movement (1954–68).

Emmet was abducted and murdered on August 28, 1955. In her testimony at trial, Carolyn claimed that the youngster had seized her, flirted with her, and threatened her.

She elaborated that he had come to the store to buy bubble gum and that while he was paying, Till had asked, “How about a date, baby?”

When her ex-husband Roy learned this, he determined to exact his own brand of revenge. So, he conspired with his step-brother to murder the kid.

At 2:30 in the morning on August 28, Roy abducted Emmet from a relative’s home. The two men have never been arrested for anything or sentenced to jail time.
