South African rapper, AKA came under massive backlash after saying that a poor person does not qualify to give advice to people.
In a tweet yesterday, he wrote:
“If someone tries to give you advice, ask yourself … does this person live in the house I want, drive the car I want, or generally live the life I want … if the answer is no, then ask yourself what qualifies this person to dispense ANY sort of advice to you in the first place.”
This tweet from the award-winning rapper has generated a lot of buzz with people labelling him as a nonsensical person.
Well, the tweet has also got his arch-rival and fellow rapper, Cassper Nyovest, to react.
In a series of tweets, Cassper noted that AKA seems to be saying ‘foolish pieces of stuff’ just to gain attention since his music isn’t selling.
“People do weird shit when the music doesn’t connect and they don’t know where to go next. Anything to get the people talking huh?”
Then in another tweet again, Cassper addressed AKA directly telling him that a piece of life-changing financial advice can come from a gardener.
“Here’s some advice from someone who’s filled up The Dome and successfully crowd surfed geh. Unga’bhekeli Abantu phansi! Ska nyatsa batho laaitie. You can get life changing financial advice from a gardner who’s never owed a car or a house. Success or money doesn’t quantify wisdom.”
