The government is putting across ways and means by which the $100 Million apportioned to combat against the Coronavirus can be put to good use.

Their new plan is to appoint some ‘so-called’ celebrity ambassadors who can help in fighting the coronavirus.

A report by kingdomfmonline.com indicates that Minister for Information, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah said they’re set to appoint celebrity ambassadors who’ll use their influence to educate the Youth on safety precaution on the CODVID-19.

He stressed that, there are some top-notch celebrities in Ghana that have a huge number of fan base and believe they could help in the education more than anyone.

The Minister was speaking at a stakeholders engagement involving Ghana Journalist Association (GJA), Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association (GIBA), Ghana Medical Association (GMA) and other agencies at the Information to deliberate on the ministry’s Programming Support for through the media.

Mr Oppong Nkrumah was of the view that, this move will help get the education down well through all walks of life since the celebrities are very influential to their fan base.

He noted that, some of the media houses are not well equipped with information thus the decision to have the engagement to find a way forward.
