An accident has turned into a Christmas Bonanza!!!.
According to a report shared by Volta1 TV via their Facebook page, a KIA Rhino truck belonging to Topfood Beverages LTD., producers of Topsaho fruit drinks, was been involved in an accident at Biakpa in the Avatime enclave – in the Volta Region.
The truck was loaded with assorted beverages believed to be headed to Hohoe for onward distribution.
According to eyewitnesses, employees onboard the truck sustained various degrees of injuries and had to be rushed to the nearest hospital.
However, it soon became apparent that persons from surrounding communities who had massed up at the scene of the accident did not only come there on humanitarian grounds as, in a rather sad and bizarre turn of events, these ‘good samaritans’ began to offload the truck of its goods and started carting off same to their various homes!
In an atmosphere of jamboree, men, women, and children could be seen leaving the accident scene with bags, sacks, and pans full of goods from the truck; it was literally an open market!.
