A Ugandan company, Vision Group, the publishers of New Vision and Bukedde newspapers, will cut staff salaries by up to 60 percent starting next month due to the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

The notice was served to all workers.

The company says it’ll pay full salary for April but the following months until further notice will see the aforementioned salary cut.

60 percent will be cut from those earning above Shs 19 million. Those earning between Shs 8m and 19m will take a 45 percent cut. Those earning below Shs 8m will take a 40% salary cut.
