Felix Fosu Kwakye, Ghanaian politician and former deputy communications minister in the erstwhile Dramani Mahama administration took a Jab at the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
In a short Facebook post on his Facebook page, Mr. Felix wrote that: “A comparison between Dumsor and COVID-19 is like asking for a beauty contest between Dr Bawumia and his wife Samira. How does anyone make such a comparison?”
This comment came as a response to the earlier analysis by the Vice president. Dr. Bawumia earlier made a comparison between two major crisis in the erstwhile John Mahama and the current Nana Addo led administrations.
According to him, “If you want to test the robustness of an economy, you test it in a time of crisis. Thankfully, we have had two crises. Under the NDC, there was an internally generated crisis which was Dumsor. Under the president of Nana Akufo-Addo, there’s been an externally generated crisis that is being a Coronavirus pandemic. I just want you to ask yourself, how have these two crises been managed?”
Two major crises have befallen our country in the last decade – Dumsor and Covid-19. The management of the economy under two different leaders during these crises periods is something we should all be interested in. pic.twitter.com/SVNNo5yAYv

In effect, the Vice president was casting insinuations that, the current administration is better at the management of the of the economy relative to the John Mahama administration. Obviously, the statement did not go well with Mr. Felix who took to Facebook to make this sarcastic statement.
