On Mach 15,2020, after the president has announced new directives as to how the nation should position itself against the spread of the Coronavirus, most churches have expressed displeasure at the new development.
President Akufo-Addo put a temporary ban on all public gatherings of any kind including church services. Many pastors have fumed at the idea describing it as inappropriate since it will go against their work.
The latest to add his voice is the Founder and Leader of the Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha.
According to Prophet Kumchacha, the collection of offerings and tithe will be adversely affected by the introduction of the ban.
He added that the online platforms are not as effective as compared to the human to human exchanges. He stated that their finances will dwindle which will affect their operations negatively.
