In an earlier claim made by Starfmonline which was reported by many media outlets, two members of parliament and 13 parliamentary staffs were said to have contracted coronavirus.

However, a statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs, Kate Addo indicated that the report is not true as the test results are yet to be made known to parliament.

In addition, the statement urged starfmonline to withdraw the story and inform their followers accordingly. “parliament would therefore like to urge starfmonline to pull down the said report and update its audience with the relevant information to the effect that the results from the test are unknown to parliament” the release added.

Parliament further assured the public through the statement that, they will take precautionary steps to prevent a possible spread of the virus in the house.
