A news reportage sighted on the official website of Ghanaian Daily Graphic indicated that, the health giants express their willingness to assist Ghana in fighting coronavirus like they are currently doing with nations like Italy, Brazil, Venezuela among others.

According to the report, African Union Commission made the intervention on behalf of Ghana and it was accepted. The only thing left now is for the government of Ghana to make a formal request for the agreement to be sealed and the Doctors deployed to help the fight in Ghana.

This is not the first time Cuba has helped or is offering to help Africa. They were very instrumental during the fight against Ebola on the continent. A 53 member team was deployed by the Cuban government including Doctors, Nurses, Epidemiologists, intensive care doctors, general practitioners, surgeons, pediatricians, intensive care nurse, anesthetists, and license nurses to front the fight against Ebola, which was done successfully.

Known to be a quality health service provider, Cuba as a country has over the years produced well trained health professionals with capabilities to deal with various types and degrees of health problems. This could be another opportunity for Ghana to deal with this pandemic at its budding stage before it escalates.
