He was given the nickname “The Dude” throughout his playing career because of his resemblance to the character portrayed by Jeff Bridges in The Big Lebowski.
Furthermore, he served as the tight ends coach and associate head coach for the New Orleans Saints from 2016 to 2020. He served as a Miami Dolphins assistant coach from 2010 to 2015, most notably in the roles of the interim head coach and tight ends coach.
