Campbell began his coaching career in 2010 as a coaching intern for the Miami Dolphins.
After Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin was sacked on October 5, 2015, Campbell was named interim head coach for the remainder of the 2015 season. Campbell led the club to five wins and seven losses.
Head coach Sean Payton hired Campbell as the New Orleans Saints’ assistant head coach and tight ends coach in January 2016.
Campbell was hired as the Detroit Lions’ head coach on January 20, 2021, and he is still in that position.
