She is currently the OC OOnt, which is an honorary title. She was the one who succeeded Lloyd Robertson in this role on September 5, 2011, when she took over for him.
Previously, LaFlamme worked for CTV National News as a substitute host and as a news international affairs correspondent. In both of these roles, she covered international news.
The decision to move the program in a “different direction” was cited as the reason for CTV’s August 2022 announcement that it would be terminating her contract for “business reasons.”
LaFlamme began her professional career in 1989[3] at CKCO, the affiliate station for CTV in Kitchener, where she worked as a copywriter and script assistant.
In 1997, she made the transition to becoming an anchor. Previous positions include working as a parliamentary reporter, as well as on CTV NEWSNET and as a co-host on Canada AM between the years 2001 and 2003. (now CTV News Channel).
