Talking to an African man in the morning without first saying “Good morning” is termed “disrespectful” it doesn’t matter if you forgot or not, it’s termed disrespectful for a man to be the first to say “Good morning” this helps to romance his ego and give him a sense of supremacy.

I’m still trying to understand why who greets first is such a big deal here.

A typical African man believe that paying your bride price is equal to purchasing you, a typical African man feels you’re not expected to have a voice of your own.

If you truly want to enjoy an African man.

1. Marry the one that is exposed, I don’t mean the one that just went to school, to be civilised you don’t necessarily have to be a graduate.

2. Marry the one that fears God, it is easier for a man to be corrected and broken when he reverences God.

But marrying a typical African man, a traditionist, the one who thinks it is a taboo for a man to say “sorry” the one who feels paying your bride price is equal to buying you, the one who feels it is his right to cheat and you can’t do anything, the one who feels your relevance as a woman is tied to childbearing and the kitchen, the one who feels you have no right to talk as a woman.

If you do marry such an African man with such mentality and traditional beliefs, it will be difficult to cope.

As an African man, we must start debunking some of our beliefs which create more frictions in our homes and relegates our women to nothingness.

I have said enough.

I hope this helps.
