You may never have seen Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings angry before and for the first time before the public eye, she has expressed her anger on how ‘foolish’ some Ghanaians can be in the name of ‘I belong to this and that party’.

It’s all about the ‘Coronavirus relief food‘ meant for the poor and vulnerable.

The government has said that food will be distributed to the Kayayei and people in poor communities as a way of helping them during these hard times of Coronavirus.

However, Zanetor Agyeman-Rawling’s visit to some group of Kayayeis shows that they are not been fed.

Some amount of money was also promised them on daily basis and they’re not also benefiting from that as well.

The MP for Klottey-Korley Constituency in her anger said:

“We’re giving food to 200+ Kayayei here and over 500 in Tema station because inspite of the Government saying they are been fed, these people are not getting food and the unfortunate thing that is happening, is that people are using partisanship to distribute foods. This is a humanitarian crisis. Women and children are hungry.”

“They are locked down because it’s not their fault the virus is in Ghan. People are literally been asked to show membership of their party membership before they’re been given food. This is not acceptable. This is very sad. The virus does not show whether you’re NDC or NPP before it infects you. The lockdown is for the entire place. It’s not selective. It’s time to account who is receiving the money and who is the food going to. We need greater transparency. It is wrong”
