Shatta Wale’s Reign album is currently enjoying its position on the Billboard Charts at Number 6 in the World Albums Chart category as well as Canadian rapper Drake’s Scorpion album, which is also number 6 on the Billboard Hot 200 charts.

This has made people confused on the original position of Shatta Wale’s Album. However, there’s a difference.

Shatta Wale’s Reign Album’s number 6 position in the category of world albums on the Billboard charts is less competitive as compared to Drake’s Scorpion Album in the Hot 200 category.

Here is the difference;

Shatta Wale’s Reign album number 6 position on Billboard charts category is called World Albums Chart which are albums performing in the US in terms of digital sales but belongs musicians outside US and Puerto Rico.

Many Ghanaians on social media have questioned how the Reign Album made it on the charts after performing “poorly” on digital platforms.

Caleb & Gretchen, who have been leading the iTunes Charts World Genre with their album Forest Rhapsody since Reign album was released, is no where to be found on the Billboard charts.

This shows that Shatta Wale had enough sales in the US than they did

The Charts Manager of Billboard Magazine, Alex Vitoulis, explained that only sales made in the United States and Puerto Rico are considered when measuring the performance of albums for the World Albums category.
