Drew Clinton was jailed a four-year sentence under Illinois sentencing guidelines. However, the judge, Robert Adrian, reversed his conviction, declaring the sentence “unjust.” Judge Robert has been relieved of his duties in criminal proceedings.

Drew Clinton was found guilty and sent to jail for sexually assaulting 16 years old Cameron Vaughan at the graduation party.

However, Judge Robert Adrian overturned the decision, stating plenty of punishment. Drew Clinton faced a mandatory minimum term of four years in prison.

Nevertheless, Judge Robert Adrian overturned his judgment and the conviction during a hearing earlier this month.

The judgment, which the Quincy Herald-Whig reported, has dismayed sexual assault advocacy groups.

Cameron Vaughan told a local television station that she was there when Judge Adrian overturned Mr. Clinton’s conviction.

Clinton would have faced a minimum of four years in prison for sexual assault. On May 30, 2021, the incident happened at a graduation party in Quincy.

Moreover, the judge determined that the prosecutors had failed to prove their case, and Clinton was freed after only 148 days in county jail.

Cameron Vaughan Rape Case & Judge Robert Adrian Verdict Explained

Cameron Vaughan is the girl who accused Clinton of rape on May 30, 2021.

However, Drew has been released, publicly criticizing the judge. She even disclosed her true identity.

Judge Adrian, according to Cameron, “is not qualified to do his job.”

She even added, “If it weren’t for that foolish judge, Drew would be in prison.” “It’s frightening to come out and talk about this, especially when a judge makes this type of a decision,”

Vaughan said that judge’s decision is incomprehensible and what happened to her is not typical.

On June 1, 2021, Clinton was charged with criminal sexual assault.

According to court records, the girl stated that he sexually attacked her after she became unconscious at a party on May 30.

Cameron testified that she was asleep when she awoke to see a pillow covering her face and Clinton abusing her.

Judge Adrian felt the penalty was unreasonable in this case, partially because Mr. Clinton turned 18 just two weeks before the party.

Judge Adrian added that Clinton had no criminal record until his detention.

According to the transcript, Judge Adrian said during the Jan. 3 hearing, “That is not just.”

He added, “There is no way this teenager should go to the Department of Corrections for what happened in this case.” That is something I will not do.
