Before this declaration, the NDC party had predicted that they won majority in parliament with 140 seats.

Yesterday, the Minority leader Haruna Iddrisu during his speech on denying the 2020 presidential results said the NPP and EC has connived to steal majority from the in parliament but they won’t allow that to happen.

He said: “and we also want to serve notice that the blatant effort to deny us of a parliamentary majority will be fiercely resisted. We know that the good people of Ghana gave us a mandate and that mandate included a parliamentary majority that they are engaged in an attempt in connivance with the Electoral commission to undermine and to reduce through brut force and military excessive behaviour”
