Controversial musician and political activist, Kwasme Asare-Obeng popularly known as A Plus has waged into the ongoing controversy surrounding the compilation of a new voters register in Ghana.

The activist opined that, the Electoral commission’s refusal to accept birth certificates and already existing voter ID cards but just passports and Ghana card as primary documents for the new registration is like licking a woman but wearing a condom to prevent disease.

According to his analysis, the passports and Ghana cards touted by the electoral commission as basis for qualification for registration were acquired with the same old voter IDs and birth certificates which people got fraudulently.

Aside this view, A plus has been a staunch advocate against the compilation of a new register which he considers as a waste of taxpayer’s money.
