Elton John paid tribute to Taylor Hawkins Saturday evening at his live performance in Des Moines, Iowa, dedicating “Don't Let the Solar Go Down on Me” to the Foo fighters drummer who died the evening earlier than on the age of fifty.
“I acquired up this morning to see that Taylor Hawkins from the Foo Fighters had handed away, and I used to be so shocked as a result of he performed on my Lockdown Classes album and he was one of many nicest individuals you might ever meet,” John instructed the group.
“And one of many best drummers and a real musician who cherished all types of music and cherished life. And it appears so unhappy that at 50 years of age we've misplaced somebody who had that a lot ardour. And it makes me so downhearted for his household – his three youngsters, his spouse, his different kinfolk and, after all, the Foo Fighters, who've misplaced a dearest cherished one that may by no means, ever get replaced.”
