Top Ghanaian music promoter, event organiser and talent manager, Sadick Assah, has asserted that artistes managers should never invest in a female musician if they cannot be in a relationship together.
Sadick popularly known as Sleeky Promotions said dating a female musician while managing them is the best investment one can make.
“Hello guys, Never invest in a female musician if they cant be in a date with you wai, that the best contract ever. Er women“, he wrote on Facebook.
Sadick who has worked with many top musicians in the country including the missing Castro, 4×4, Tic Tac, VIP, Empress Gifty, Shatta wale, Nhyiraba Kojo, Mr. Eazi, and many other top African music stars defended his post saying investing in a talent is in itself a risky venture.
This is because you’re not assured of reaping your investments.
“What is more dangerous is investing in women”, he said.
Stating his reasons, Sadick said most female musicians are controlled by their boy lovers and fiancés — and when this happens it hinders the music business process.
He also noted that some female musicians can jump and accept the opportunity of marriage when it comes by and when that happens, you the manager would be the loser.
He ended by emphasizing that dating your female musicians brings understanding and helps to speed the work.
He maintains that the artiste even listens to you more and gives you all the needed attention for the development of the work, it reduces cost of accommodation when in a travel mission for shows and promotions.
Because instead of booking two rooms, the two of you can sleep in one room.
