Most of these blind people you see on the streets are actually not blind.
Begging has now more or less become an industry where some smart con men are making hundreds of cedis from on daily basis.
These dubious people take to the streets acting like blind people begging for alms.
But unknown to some kind-hearted people who give to them, some of them are able-bodied men who have well rehearsed the art of acting blind and have taken to the streets to deceive people for money.
In a viral video, a fake blind man and his guide were seen counting hundreds of Ghana cedi notes which they made in the day.

They were seen counting the money on a car bonnet but unknown to them, someone was in the car filming them.
The supposed guide of the blind man could be seeing watching his back to see if anyone is spying on them.
It’s very sad any.
