The rate at which misfortunes are taking place at different parts of Ghana is quite alarming.

A report by mynewsgh.com is indicating that there was a fire outbreak that destroyed properties in a 13-bedroom compoud house at Tafo in the Ashanti Region.

The report indicates that the fire which started around 11am on Thursday November 19, 202 destroyed properties estimated at several thousands of Ghana cedis.

It took firefighters several hours to douse the inferno though no casualties were recorded.

An eyewitness who gave his name as Kwame Emmanuel disclosed to Pure Fm’s Osei Kwadwo that the unfortunate incident started from one room in the house.

“We tried our best to control the situation after calling Fire Service several times without response. The fire moved from one room to another and then started burning the whole house”. He said

As it stands, there is no fire service station in the Tafo township. The town folks are hence appealing to the Government to build one for them so that delays by Fire Service personnel from attending to such outbreaks can be avoided.
