George Nagobads, a physician from the United States, was born in Latvia on November 18, 1921. In March of 2303, Nagobads passed away. Before immigrating to the US in 1951, he earned his medical degree from the University of Tübingen in Germany.

Nagobads participated in three NCAA Division I championship teams during his 34 years as a player for the Minnesota Golden Gophers men’s ice hockey team.

In addition, Nagobads worked as a team physician for the 1984 and 1987 Canada Cup teams, the 1989 Spengler Cup Team, the 1989 U.S. Under-17 Select Team, and five U.S. National Junior Teams. (1974, 1985-87, 1989).

In 1984, Nagobads was chosen to serve as USA Hockey’s chief medical officer, a post he held until 1992. Additionally, he was appointed to the USA Hockey Safety and Protective Equipment Committee in 1984 as well as the IIHF Medical Committee in 1990.

George Nagobads Wife: Who Is Velta Maria Nagobads?

George Nagobods was the husband of Velta Maria Nagobods born on January 31st, 1924 in Latvia. On September 12, 2005, she died at the age of 81, and she and George were still very much in love. She was interred in the Crystal Lake Cemetery in Minneapolis.
