The Ghana Education Service has announced via their verified Facebook page that schools across the country would be closed down from Friday 4th December to 8th December 2020.
“Management has directed that all schools should provide a break to academic work from Friday 4th Dec to Tuesday 8th Dec 2020. Students will return on Wednesday 9th December 2020. Students, parents, teachers are to take note.”, the short notice reads.
Reason for the closure wasn’t added but from the dates mentioned, one can deduce that the purpose was for the forthcoming elections which is coming off on 7th December 2020.
