As a way to curb the spread of Coronavirus, the Speaker of Parliament, Alan Bagbin has announced that the Ghanaian parliament would go virtual.
He said only one-third of its membership would be in the chamber whiles the other members join the meeting from their offices.
“We are not going to allow this kind of sitting again. Members who follow the process from their offices will only come into the Chamber when it’s their turn to debateā, he said.
He also mentioned that the Parliament will go through a fumigation exercise during the weekend to sanitize the place.
