Ginimbi real name Genius Kadungure is a popular Zimbabwean big boy, socialite, business man. He’s well known for driving flashy and luxurious cars.

He owns an oil and gas company called Pioneer Gases which has branches in Botswana, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

He’s also a major contributor to nightlife in his country as he’s the owner of Dreams Nightlife Club formerly known as Club Sankayi.

In November 2020, Ginimbi died in a gruesome accident in Harare after he had a head-on collision with a blue Honda Fit.

The three other people who he died with were Karim, Elisha and Moana, who’s a propular fitness bunny.

Ginimbi early life

Ginimbi was born in Domboshawa, a village in Zimbabwe. He was born on the 10th of October 1984.

Domboshava is a village in the province of Mashonaland East, Zimbabwe. It is located in an area of granite hills about 27 km north of Harare. The village is named after a large granite hill near the village. There are several rock formations at the top of the hill which have been formed by natural erosion.His mother and one brother recently died.

He is believed to have started business at a very young age. Been passionate for business, he then embraced the art of providing gas for domestic use, where he worked as a middle-man.

His net worth is not publicly known but based on his luxurious lifestyle and value of his properties, it’s estimated that his net worth weighs between $10 Million to $100 million.

He recently bought a US$600 000 worth Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster during the week ending 3 October 2020 in addition to his fleet of luxury cars which turned heads of many in the Zimbabwean capital, Harare.

Just like most wealthy men, Ginimbi had a lot of women at his disposal. However, his relationship with Zodwa Mkandla was an exception — many knew her to be his wife.

In 2014, it was reported that he was engaged to Zodwa Mkandla, who was 11 years older than him and no mention has been made of them having gotten married.

In April 2018, Ginimbi disclosed that he and Mkandla were no longer together. He told the Eastern Times that he was single although he had a good relationship with Zodwa whom he continues to do business with.

It was reported that he had been beaten up by husbands of women he had sexual relations with on many occasions. On these claims, Kadungure said, “it was normal”.

In January 2014, he made headlines when it was revealed that he had been looking after another man’s child for the past 11 years.

This came to light after one Doreen Mutukwa demanded an upward review of maintenance fees to $1,500. This led to Genius demanding a paternity test and the outcome showed that Kadungure was not the father of the child

Ginimbi discovered in 2014 that he had been looking another man’s child for the 11 years after he demanded a paternity test from the child’s mother who was seeking an upwards review of maintenance to $USD1500 a month.

Ginimbi is well known for the display of wealth on social media. One of the things he gets identified with is his fleet of cars.

The young lad has an extensive collection of high-end cars. Ginimbi cars include a Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster, a Bentley, a Ferrari spider, 6 Rolls Royce, and a Land Rover. He has several houses including the Ginimbi house, which he put up in his rural home area in Domboshava and held a three-day long party to celebrate the milestone.

Genius Kadungure has died in a gruesome accident that took the life of 3 other friends that were with him.

It’s reported that Ginimbi was driving on top speed after a birthday party where he graced.

While riding in his Rolls-Royce car, he had a head-on collision with a blue Honda Fit.

Nyasatimes reports that the driver of the Honda Fit car that got involved in the accident with Ginimbi survived the crash but is said to be in shock.

Witness Danny Kuwanga, who was one of the first people at the scene, said Kadungure was speeding.

“It happened in front of my eyes. He was speeding. He first overtook me and as he tried to overtake a second vehicle, that’s when he crashed into the Honda Fit driving the opposite way,” Kuwanga said in quotes reported by Zimlive.

Kuwanga said he was joined by three other man and they pulled Kadungure away from the vehicle which was now a fireball.

“The girls didn’t make it out. They were just crying inside the burning car. We couldn’t do anything,” he added.

In his final post on Instagram, where he had over 600,000 followers, Kadungure posted a video, declaring: “Guys it’s time to go out, it’s gonna be going down. We’re going to Dreams (nightclub) in the next few minutes, it’s gonna be going down. It’s Moana’s birthday, we’re going to pop champagne, it’s gonna be champagne showers tonight, see you there.”

As he gets into the vehicle, Kadungure tells his followers he’s “driving Rolls Royce Wraith.” The video cuts out as ‘Hello’ by Kabza de Small and DJ Mapholisa blasts from the US$500,000 motor.

Ginimbi’s death follows that of his mother just a few months ago.

Limumba Karim is survived by three children, one in South Africa, newly born in Mozambique and one in Malawi.

His body will be repatriated to Malawi for burial.

Rumours have it that Ginimbi was speeding under the influence of alcohol. He’s alleged to have had enough at the birthday party.

An official statement was made on his death by his management on Twitter.

The statement reads:

“I feel like hell, I dont even know which words to even use, Genius Kadungure has been called by God, he is no more. He was in a terrible accident around 5am, he died on the spot with 3 of his friends in the car, Karim, Elisha and Moana – Ms Shally”

Business career

Kadungure was said to have started engaging in small business transactions at the age of 17 as he became a middle-man securing gas for domestic users.

Genius had a friend who worked at the Angolan Airways offices, he quickly secured his first contract through a friend.

He would follow up on a number sales to gas users and that would see his fortunes turning. Within a year, he had started driving and two years later he had a Mercedes Benz S Class.

He went on to establish Pioneer Gases which is now part of Piko Trading Group. The company supplies gas to the commercial, industrial, public and retail sectors.
