The Deputy Minister for Works and Housing, Eugene Boakye Antwi has announced the commencement of government’s Affordable Housings in March of this year.
This project which is located in Asokore Mampong of the Ashanti Region has been completed and ready for citizens to occupy them.
These are the prices for the houses:
- 1-Bedroom Standard – GHC 99,000
- 1 Bedroom Special – GHC 142,500
- 2-bedroom – GHC 182, 500
- 3-bedroom -GHC 335,000
However, these houses can be acquired with the use of a mortgage from the bank.
This is the government’s way of providing decent and affordable housing to its citizens. But the location of these houses and the somewhat exorbitant pricing are demotivating factors for most people to acquire these houses.
Past and present governments have embarked on several of these projects which were abandoned.
Are you going to acquire one of these houses or they are too expensive to be classified as affordable?
