She earned a degree in philosophy from Moscow State University and worked as a journalist, using the pen name Daria Platonova, for the state-run media source RT and the pro-Kremlin conservative channel Tsargrad.

How did Darya Dugina die?

According to Russia’s investigation committee, 29-year-old Darya Dugina perished in the aftermath of an explosion on a road outside of Moscow.

‘Putin’s brain’ Alexander Dugin, a famous Russian philosopher, is suspected of being the intended victim of the assault on her father.

Mr. Dugin, a well-known advocate of ultra-nationalism who is thought to be close to the Russian president, is one of these figures.

A festival outside of Moscow had hosted a speech by the philosopher on Saturday night, and Alexander Dugin and his daughter had been there.

The “Tradition” festival bills itself as a family outing for art enthusiasts that is held at the Zakharovo estate, which was formerly home to the Russian poet Alexander Pushkin.
