George Nagobads, who was born on November 18, 1921 and died on March 31, 2023, worked as the Minnesota Northstars’ team doctor for 34 years, as well as for five American Olympic teams and the Gophers, from 1958 to 1992. He was a Latvian native.

Nagobads became a legendary figure in one of America’s most cherished sports legends as a result of his involvement with hockey. Both as an individual and as a member of the US men’s national team, the longtime former Gophers team physician was inducted into the US Hockey Hall of Fame.

George Nagobads’ work with five US Olympic teams, including the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” team, is what made him most famous. Nagobads was a member of the Miracle on Ice team that won the gold medal at the 1980 Winter Olympics as well as the team doctor for the US men’s national team at five Winter Olympics.

How Did George Nagobads Die?

On March 31, 2023, George NagobadsVisvaldis passed away. He was a 101-year-old man. It’s not known how he died but it is likely he died because of old age.
