Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, both 10 years old at the time, were having a good time at a BBQ hosted by Jessica's family at their house in Soham, Cambridgeshire, on the 4th of August 2002. When the two friends left the house to get some candy that afternoon, they were dressed identically in football jerseys bearing the name of their favourite team, manchester United. However, they were never seen again in the house.
In the summer of 2002, the police swarmed the little village of Soham, which is located in Cambridgeshire, in an effort to locate the three schoolgirls who had gone missing. Their images were published in each and every national and local newspaper, and the hunt for them encompassed over 400 law enforcement personnel and an uncountable number of members of the general public.
How did Holly and Jessica get murdered?
The children were murdered, most likely by asphyxiation, and their remains were disposed of in an irrigation ditch adjacent to RAF Lakenheath after they were enticed into the house of a local homeowner and school caretaker named Ian Kevin Huntley.
