Michael Geoffrey Jones, a British musician, singer, and composer, was born on June 26, 1955. From the band The Clash’s founding in 1977 until 1983, he served as lead guitarist, co-lead vocalist, co-founding member, and writer.

Founded Big Audio Dynamite in 1984 alongside Don Letts. In addition to being a member of the Gorillaz live band for a world tour in 2010 and 2011, he has been playing with the band Carbon/Silicon with Tony James since the year 2002. The Justice Tonight Band was formed by Jones in the latter part of 2011 with Pete Wylie and members of the Farm.

Tommy Jones (the father) and Renee Zegansky (the mother) are the parents of Michael Geoffrey Jones, who was born and reared in Wandsworth, London, England.

Born in 1899 to Jewish parents in Russia, Stella, Mick’s maternal grandmother, escaped the pogroms by emigrating to the UK.

 

How Did Mick Jones Die?

On August 9th, 2022, Mick Jones, who was 75 years old, passed away. Mick had been ailing for a time before he passed away at the age of 75.
