Toyota authorized the Prius hybrid and the Lexus brand under Soichiro’s direction. He was the great-grandson of Sakichi Toyoda, who created the Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, and the son of Kiichiro Toyoda, who established Toyota Motors.

The CEO of the Toyota Motor Corporation at the moment is his son, Akio Toyoda. Shoichiro Toyoda was born and reared in Nagoya. She is a child of Kiichiro Toyoda, the man who founded Toyota Motors, and Hatako Toyoda, a co-founder of the Takashimaya department store dynasty.
