Paul Gregory Green, an Australian professional rugby league football coach best known for leading the North Queensland Cowboys to the 2015 NRL championship, and a professional rugby league football player who played in the 1990s and 2000s, was born on September 12, 1972, and passed away on August 11, 2022.

He was a rugby player for Cronulla-Sutherland, North Queensland Cowboys, Sydney Roosters, Parramatta Eels, and Brisbane Broncos. In 1995, he was awarded the Rothmans Medal. He played halfback for Australia’s international team and the Queensland State of Origin. Green led the North Queensland team in his role as coach to their maiden premiership in 2015 and another Grand Final two years later. For the State of Origin series in 2021, Green was named the head coach of Queensland. At Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville, New South Wales defeated Queensland 50-6 in game one of the series.
