Former Metro TV anchor Ignatius Annor confesses to be gay.
Ignatius Annor was a news anchor on Metro TV but now a journalist of Africanews. He is an activist for Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender and Queer Individuals (LGBTGI).
Quiet number of years ago in 2015, the journalist denied accusations of being a gay on several occasions and said has no intentions of engaging in it.
He has finally confessed not only as a member of the LGBTGI but also a gay.
According to him, he denied being a gay as may result him to stigmatization by many and also fear of loosing his job as a journalist.
“I want to say this on record, I know for some people who are seeing me through this very line it might sound a bit contradictory and that is because in the past I had denied my truth and I had denied I was gay and I did that because of the fear of loosing my job.” He said.
His confession was made in an interview on JoyNews on 22nd February, 2021 which was Monday.
