The protest in Nigeria really overshadowed the happenings in Ivory Coast but didn’t go unnoticed by Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and it sums up the pains some Africans have been going through for some time now.
Ivory Coast have been hit with election violence. The candidacy of Ouattara for a third term is one of the main problems in the country right now and the Independent Election Commission’s decision to reject the nomination of opposition leader Mamadu koulibaly makes it even more controversial.
The Gunners skipper took to Twitter to express his love for Africa and the devastated he feels concerning the ongoing happenings in the Continent.
He tweeted. “Africa you are my inspiration, my identity, my home, thats why l carry you on my back ! I am devastated and heartbroken to see what’s going on in Nigeria, Congo,lvory coast , so many places…This continent deserves better -deserves justice.”
